Koji holds a bachelor's degree in International Studies from the University of California, Irvine, and an MBA from INSEAD. He worked at McKinsey & Company's Japan office and Yappa Corporation, followed by equity research roles at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital Securities.
Since 2012, at a listed Japanese company, he has launched multiple startups in artificial intelligence, Digital Transformation and automation, and education across the Southeast Asian, Indian, and US markets. As a Managing Partner at a venture capital firm, he has led investments in dozens of early-stage startups.
He founded Alpha Wave Ventures Pte. Ltd. in January 2022, and regularly conducts corporate training sessions and speaking engagements on new business creation and open innovation.
